Egypt ACID, or the Advance Cargo Information Declaration, is a mandatory document for all cargoes headed to Egypt. It serves the same purpose as the ECTN, facilitating streamlined customs clearance and enhanced security for imports.

It is the obligation of the exporter, shipper, or assigned freight forwarder to issue the ACID.

Even if an agreement is made to shift this obligation to the importer, the shipper could still face penalties and there's a possibility that the shipment may be denied entry at the port.
